Saltwater Grill opened
in April of 2004 as a coolaboration between three friends and former co-workers in the New Orleans restaurant industry. William
McIntyre, Floyd Murphy and Russell Davis opened their original location at 1340 S. Carrollton Avenue on the St. Charles Avenue
streetcar line as a neighborhood seafood restaurant offering southern Louisiana cooking, fresh local seafood, affordable prices
and a fun atmosphere.
Apart from a brief inturuption of service due to Hurricane Katrina, Saltwater Grill was run successfully by the three partners
until June of 2006 when Floyd decided to leave the restaurant and pursue other endevours. William and Russell continued to
operate the casual seafood eatery at its orginal location until in September of 2008 a slightly more desirable location became
available in the exciting riverbend area of uptown New Orleans. Saltwater Grill, now located at 710 South Carrollton Avenue,
still on the St. Charles Avenue streetcar line, continues to serve New Orleaneans and tourists with the same great southern
Louisiana cooking and fresh seafood its come to be known for.
